The course introduces a systematic approach and methodology for planning, monitoring, measuring, and managing organization’s business process performance and for
redesigning and improving specific processes.
By the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. Explain the fundamental concepts, principles, and importance of Business Process Management (BPM) in improving organizational performance and service delivery.
2. Identify, describe, and analyze organizational business processes using appropriate process thinking and lifecycle perspectives.
3. Develop and interpret business process models using standard modeling notations such as Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).
4. Evaluate business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement using basic process analysis techniques.
5. Apply process redesign and improvement strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
6. Demonstrate understanding of BPM technologies and tools that support process automation, monitoring, and management.
7. Exhibit collaborative and critical thinking skills in analyzing real-world organizational processes and proposing appropriate BPM solutions.
