This course provides students with foundational knowledge and skills in quantitative research methods, focusing on the processes involved in conducting research in the fields of Information Systems and Information Technology. It introduces key concepts such as research problems, variables, hypotheses, research design, sampling techniques, data collection, questionnaire construction, and descriptive statistical analysis. Students will learn how to gather, code, analyze, and ethically interpret quantitative data using descriptive statistics. The course also emphasizes the preparation of a quantitative research report based on survey findings.
At the end of the course, students are expected to:
- formulate quantitative research problems, variables, research questions, and hypotheses;
- apply appropriate research designs, sampling methods, and research instruments;
- analyze and present quantitative data using descriptive statistics ethically; and
- interpret research findings and prepare a quantitative survey research report.
